Parks & Recreation

The Town of New Scotland has two municipal parks.  Stephen P. Wallace Park located at 148 Swift Road in Voorheesville and Feura Bush Park located at 63 Mathias Place in Feura Bush.
  Stephen P. Wallace Park has baseball and softball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, soccer/lacrosse field, a playground, walking trail, a pavilion with picnic tables and ice skating in the winter.
  Feura Bush Park has a softball field, basketball courts, tennis courts, soccer field, a playground, horseshoe pits, and a pavilion with picnic tables.

Please note that the Town of New Scotland will not be offering summer recreation programs this year due to declining enrollment.

American Red Cross Babysitting Course
New Scotland Town Hall 2029 New Scotland Road
Friday, August 12  8:30 am-3:30 pm
Ages 11 and up
This course is recommended for students 11 years of age and up.  Topics covered include the responsibilities of babysitting, how to feed, care for and play with youngsters, obstructed airway skills, accident prevention, and how to handle emergencies and illness.  On the  day of class, bring snack, lunch and drink, paper and pen.  Wear comfortable clothing.  Taught by a certified Red Cross instructor.
Fee is $55.00 for Town of New Scotland residents; $85 for non-residents
